(Monday)
We spent the whole morning sledding. Our neighbors' driveway is so iced over, it's not even white anymore. In total I think 13 different kids were sledding here at different times throughout the morning. It was so fun to watch all the kids. Since our kids don't go to the neighborhood school, we aren't super close with a lot of families that live nearby. It was nice to feel a sense of community with our neighbors!
But when his daddy came out, he was thrilled to ride again and again and again and again. He'd yell, "Look out BELOW!"
Our cars are less than snow worthy, so tonight the Gibson Five walked over to Panda Express and Safeway. (And to Big Five to buy G new boots. Poor guy had been wearing his sister's pink polka dot mud boots with 3 pairs of socks! To make it up to him, we bought him the supercool snowboots with SKULLS on them.)
While we were out and about in the 20 degree weather Nana called and asked if the kids' were busy. We took the long way home and stopped at Nana's to drop the kids off. It was stinking cold, but it was also really cool to be walking at night in the winter wonderland. We don't get many chances here in the PacNW to do that!
Also while we were out and about? Another emergency text message from the school district . . . no school on TUESDAY AS WELL! The roads are so icy and even the de-icer won't work because it's . . . get this . . . too cold. PacNWers don't do great with snowy, icy, belowfreezingfordays weather. So, stay tuned! There are some people predicting we won't go to school again until 2009. Yikes. For the record, I am not rooting for that.

post a picture!! :)
You do have a great driveway area, I remember! We have to go a little ways for sledding, but not too far. I hope more snow comes today so the kids might sled tomorrow.
Love nighttime snow.
