And then, the next day it's raining so hard that winshield wipers can't keep up no matter what, it's cold and windy, and those optimistic gardeners are checking the 10 day trend to see if their bulbs are going to end up frozen solid.
We had both days last weekend, when Joel's parents were here visiting. Saturday was stormy and rainy. But we were all inside, cooped up, and we're all native PacNW folks, so we let the kids talk us into a walk at the nearby wetlands park.
Wow, this picture is really awful, even for iphone standards, but I had to include a picture of the girls!
It was so fun to spend the weekend with Joel's parents, I can't remember the last time we had a weekend like that. Besides our super rainy walk we watched movies, played board games, played video games, visited, and ate lots and lots of yummy food!
Of course the next day, Sunday was beautiful and sunny. We spent a lot of time outside, Bill and Vanita walked the kids to the neighborhood playground, they played basketball outside, jumped on the trampoline, and I even started tackling some flower beds. (Briefly!)
The sun stuck around a few days, which was nice. On Tuesday we played at the park after picking the Bigs up from school. Such a nice day.
Naturally, the pouring rain and wind is back now. Yesterday I thought Carter was going to full on take flight in the Safeway parking lot. But the daffodils and tulips keep pushing up, so we know spring will be here soon.
