We arrived in Nampa late Friday night, and stayed up way too late talking with Marian and Berkley. Always so fun. Saturday morning we got up early and headed to the Birds of Prey Center. Garrett had visited there in June when he was in Idaho and really wanted to take all of us to see it as well. We'd planned to visit in July, but we had that whole thing with the ER and 'appendicitis' so we didn't go then either. He was a pretty happy boy showing us the ropes and we enjoyed it.
Ok, I know it's kind of creepy, but this crow took TIPS and put it in the tip box! It was pretty cool, but you probably had to be there . . .
After that we headed to lunch, and then went to visit Grammy. We took her on a walk and that was good too. It was hard to leave her though. Understatment. Then we went to Papa's and the kids rode the golf cart and we all visited. I love hearing his stories and just being with him.
Later in the afternoon we went to watch Berkley dance. She's just starting her SENIOR year, so crazy. There was a jamboree type of deal with all the fall sports teams, and since she's dance team captain (and just plain awesome anyway), we went to watch. So fun. She's so sweet, fun, gorgeous . . . there just aren't enough adjectives. We're all wild about her. Aunt Becky brought Grammy to the dance thing and my mom brought Papa. They were both surprised to see each other, and it was heart wrenching when they had to say good bye after it was over. I know we all have so many things to be thankful for, but it is just so sad too. Overwhelmingly sad sometimes.
It was a super quick visit, it's agonzing to only be there for 1 day, but Sunday morning we were off for our week of adventure in Yellowstone!
